Is there WiFi? Yes, we are a WiFi Hotspot. You can buy WiFi vouchers here.
Does the WiFi cover the whole site? Yes.
Is the Shipwreck Hut a restaurant? No, it is a beach bar, but we do offer "home cooked" bar meals and the best cocktails on "the Rock".
Do you have live music? Yes, we have 3 live music nights each week at the Shipwreck Hut.
Will my mobile phone work there? Yes. Most phones work fine.
Is breakfast included? Yes, we offer a free tropical breakfast daily and our famous omelette breakfast on Sundays.
How do I get there from the airport? Easy. Just tell us your flight times and we will arrange an airport transfer for you.
Do you have 24 hour reception? Yes, we are available 24/7.
What time is check-in / check-out? Check-in is 1:00pm and check-out is 10:00am.
Can I get an early check-in? For flights arriving after 6:00am early check-in may be arranged subject to availability (charge is applicable).
Can I guarantee an early check-in? To guarantee immediate access to your room before 1:00pm the previous night must be booked.
Can I get an late check-out? A late check-out may be booked subject to availability (a charge is applicable).
Can I guarantee a late check-out? To guarantee use of your room after 10:00am, the additional night must be booked.
International dateline, what is this? If you travel from NZ or Australia you'll cross the International Date Line - leave Saturday - arrive Friday.
Can I rent a car at the airport? Yes, but it is best to pre-book. Just let us know and we can arrange everything for you.
Can I rent a car or scooter there? Yes. Just let us know what you want and we will arrange everything for you.
Where is the nearest grocery store? Approximately 250m down the road.
Do you have bicycles? No, but you can hire bicycles just 250m away.
Do you have kayaks and SUPs? Yes, our kayaks and stand up paddleboards are free to use.
Can I snorkel there? Absolutely, we have one of the best snorkelling spots on the island, right here.
Do I need to bring my own snorkelling gear? Not unless you want to, we provide complimentary snorkelling gear and reef shoes.
What is your beach like? Beautiful white sand, and deserted. It's like having your own private beach.
Do you provide towels? Yes. Towels in the room and also beach towels.
Are there TVs in the rooms? Yes. However TV service is very limited.
Do you provide hair dryers? Yes, one in each room.
How big is Rarotonga? Rarotonga is roughly circular and 31.6 km (20 miles) round.
What is the currency there? The currency here is New Zealand Dollars.
What is the electricity voltage? Electricity is 240v by 50MHz. Plugs and sockets are the same as in New Zealand & Australia.
Are credit cards accepted? Visa & MasterCard are widely accepted. Please note, there is a 3.5% service admin charge for all card payments.
Travel Insurance. Will I need it? We recommend you have travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances.
Can I drink the water? We filter and treat our water so yes, safe to drink. Other places, please ask.
Are there ATMs on Rarotonga? Yes.
Can you recommend restaurants? Yes, we recommend various restaurants and can arrange complimentary pick-ups.
Where is the nearest bus stop? Right at the front of the property.
How much does a bus ticket cost? It's $5.00 per ride, $8.00 return or you can buy 10 tickets for $30.00, so $3.00 per ride.
